Event Safety and Community Engagement

When this service may help

A clear response to a specific need.

Your organization is planning a community event for families, including immigrant families, but increased immigration enforcement may affect attendance and participation. Your team needs a clear plan for responding if enforcement officers appear and for communicating with prospective attendees before the event.

The process

What working together looks like.

  1. Initial consultation

We begin with a no-pressure conversation about the event, the people you hope to reach, and your specific safety and participation concerns.

  2. Scope and agreement

We confirm the project scope, pricing, and contract before work begins.

  3. Event discovery session

We meet virtually with core staff members to understand the event format, location, partners, communications, and operational needs.

  4. Event safety and communications plan

We develop practical response steps for staff and a communications approach that explains the safeguards your organization has put in place.

  5. Staff and partner preparation

We review the plan with staff and the staff, members, and partners involved and provide train-the-trainer guidance so they can prepare the wider event team.

  6. Event support

We remain available for one additional troubleshooting meeting before or during the event.

A thoughtful plan helps staff respond consistently and gives prospective attendees clear information before they decide whether to participate. We can help your team prepare both the operational response and the public-facing communications.
